Minecraft update: What's new? Minecraft skins: New looks Minecraft mods: Beyond vanilla Minecraft shaders: Spotlight Minecraft seeds: Fresh new worlds Minecraft texture packs: Pixelated Minecraft servers: Online worlds Minecraft commands: All cheats

The procedurally generated Minecraft worlds have always fascinated me, but the 1.18 update has made them even more beautiful. I have nearly reduced my play time to photographing and finding the perfect mountain ranges. With the Minecraft 1.19 Wild Update arriving, there are plenty of mangrove swamps for you to explore and the deep darkness to explore.

This Minecraft seeds list combines the best of what these worlds can offer, split into sections: survival, biome, village, and novelty. This should help you choose your next destination, whether you're scouting locations for your newest home or just seeking a pleasant view. A section is included at the end that contains old versions of Minecraft Bedrock seeds.

How to use Minecraft seed

Minecraft seeds are a string number that identifies the Minecraft world you want to load into. These numbers can be used to create a new world. Creators also share these codes online. When creating a new universe, you'll find a field where you can enter your seed. A seed will give you the exact same world generation as someone who has used it.

You should ensure you're using the correct Minecraft version. Otherwise, your seed has a chance of not spawning exactly what you want, or being just slightly different.

It's quite simple to run legacy Minecraft versions. All you need to do is open the launcher, click on "Launch Options" then "Add New." From here you can name it, and below that is a drop-down box with all the previous editions. Just click on the one you need, head back to the "News" section, and load up the version you need. Now, an in-depth look at the best Minecraft seeds.

Survival island

Seed: 2622795609673772012 | Version 1.19 If you're a lover of remote survival island seeds, this is a great one to try for 1.18. This frozen ocean is your only friend. There are no icebergs around you. You will survive in a small taiga forest.

Private jungle coves

Seed: 2825049098349321056 | Version 1.19 This jungle cove seeds really shows the beauty of 1.18’s new world generation. This warm ocean is surrounded in a mountainous forest with rocky rock cliff faces. There are large caverns beneath the stone cliffs. A ruined nether portal can be found on the stony shores. There is also a vast expanse of bamboo forest that you can explore.

Minimalist Survival Island

Seed: 3366408241916580461 | Version 1.17 This environment might inspire some soul-searching. Essential supplies are almost non-existent. Where will you find your first block of wood when the horizon is full of ocean in every direction? Be careful about which direction you choose when swimming. There's an ocean monument out there, but will you see it before the Guardians see you? This survival seed was originally logged for version 1.7 but we've included the 1.17 view for you here. It's still very minimal in Minecraft survival seed usage!

12-Eye Portal Seed

Seed: 4776164391216949839 | Version 1.17 The Minecraft seeds that your world's End Portal generates, with all 12 Eyes Of Ender activated and assembled, are very rare. Most likely, you won't find one by chance. Here's one you can load up to use for your own survival adventures. You can reach the fortress by heading to coordinates: X: 1146. Y: 63. Z: 637. Just below you is the room that houses an activated End Portal for the fortress. Before you rush off to the dragon though, you'll probably want to hit up the nearby desert and jungle villages for supplies.

Mansion in the Heartwood

Seed: 110918009997 | Version 1.17 Nothing beats rushing headfirst into a mansion, intent on destroying every Illager (not interchangeable with Villager) that moves. Finding a mansion in survival is not an easy task. It will take hours of searching through every forest hoping to find that mysterious wooden structure. i'm here The mansion is conveniently located right at spawn and is surrounded by badlands. If the mansion isn't challenge enough, there's a pillager outpost at the other edge of the forest. Good luck!

Minecraft village seeds

Village ringed by ice spikes

Seed: 105849523 | Version: 1.19 For a frosty start, this tundra village is almost entirely surrounded by ice spikes. It's a great spot to either build or move in to the community. There is a Pillager outpost nearby, which has two captive Allays that you can rescue and make friends with.

Ridge village with a lonely Church

Seed: 2416761687223174816 | Version 1.19 You can explore both sides of the ridgeline to see the village, which is located right next to a large ridgeline. There is a lonely church on one side and a small chapel on the other. The ridge is also dotted with several cave entrances that are exposed. It really shows off the new mountainous terrain 1.18.

Two villages at spawn

Seed: 5725851600822493716 | Version 1.19 If you love villages, this is a perfect 1.18 starting seed. Two Plains villages have sprung very close together near your worldspawn point. Perhaps you'd like to establish your own home base between them or to create a road connecting them. It's a beautiful day in this Minecraft neighborhood.

Island tower village

Seed: -6537256334104833826 | Version 1.19 Minecraft Villages are having a bit of a crisis in 1.18, and this is a great example. This wild tower island is located west of your spawn location and has a village around it. There are houses on every side of the island base, along its center, and at the top. It's an excellent candidate for creating a cool build.

Mountain valley villages

Seed: 460628901 | Version 1.19 This seed really shows off the huge new mountains that are possible in version 1.18. You will spawn in the valley between the two villages at center. Will you ever bother to leave a valley as pretty as this, or will you turn it into your own sprawling central village? If you use this seed in Bedrock version, you'll get the same lovely view but without the villages, so it's a little DIY in that case.

The image at this page is another mountainvale, though it is smaller than the one with the villages. We found that one with the Java 1.18 seed: -1518287222354709517.

The Township

Seed: 2083747154327962073 | Version 1.16.1 This conveniently unwrecked ship appears to be docked in an area village, making it easy to find a Minecraft wreck to explore. It's also right by spawn so you can instantly load up and dig through the treasure on this usefully abandoned and perhaps not-so-sunken vessel. It could even be a home for you if it is moved into your town. The placement of the ship may not be as perfect if the seed is generated in 1.17. However, you can create your world in 1.16.1 and then play it in 1.17.

Four villages at spawn

Seed: -4379469131957062683 | Version 1.17 These four villages might not all live in harmony. But you can find out by starting a Minecraft world with this seed. You'll spawn in on a cliff just to the west of the Taiga village. You'll also find three other types villages: the Tundra Savannah and Desert. You can almost spot them all if you squint in the screenshot above. To see their torch-lit torches at sunset, flip to the second picture.

Double Village Islands

Seed: 5329177101860618450 | Version 1.16 Island villages are always a neat find, but how about two islands, each with their own village? They can even be connected across the ocean. Even better, one of them is a zombie village. This seed is ripe for a story.

Minecraft biome seeds

Mangrove swamp village

Seed: 15481123724087486 | Version: 1.19 No need to explore for hours to find one of the mangrove swamps that joined in the Wild Update. This seed will produce a village, which is located in a small clearing.

The screenshot above is actually from a village about 100 blocks east of spawn that has mangrove trees encroaching on its watery dock paths. Both are great places to settle down while you hunt for some new pet frogs.

Reverse desert oasis

Seed: 6400740970400313533 It's such an unusual and unique mashup of biomes that would make a perfect base, or evil villains lair. As a bonus, there's even a rare jungle temple on the edge of the ring.

Bisected badlands Island

Seed: 624411614 | Version 1.19 This island is a stunning place to start a survival adventure. It has a lot to offer, including large caves, an abandoned mineshaft network and warm oceans. Terracottas are rare at the surface. Even a dirt shack can look like a palace against these cliffs. But you'll need to travel to find trees.

Ice-olation islands

Seed: -452616212506859587| Version 1.17 Okay. So. These biomes of icebergs are very cool. They are not only a source of dreadful fear, but they can also be used to build homes. Who wouldn't want to live on an ice castle? This seed is unique because, unlike many others, it spawns on two tiny islands. This seed is unique because you can turn in any direction and see ice spikes. This seed is not going to be easy. Try to make friends with the polar bears on the floe next door, perhaps.

Minecraft novelty seeds

Seed: -160471485 | Version 1.17 This is a great way to make a mad rush for the finish. You'll find yourself right beside a small village of zombies. Biome Melting Pot

Seed: 2111844826 | Version 1.17 Although this Bedrock edition seed won't drop you exactly where you want, we believe it's well worth teleporting to. After you have spawned, you can use the /tp command (-185.64.117). You will be at the edge of a mushroom Biome looking across a small ocean at a biome called Badlands. It's quite a lot of rare, desirable biomes all tucked into one area-perfect for anyone looking to sample just a little bit of almost everything Minecraft has to offer. If you head into the ice spikes, you'll find a tundra village not too far away too.

Arctic Survival Island

Seed: 1669737730 | Version 1.17 If you really liked the look of that isolated arctic survival island seed for Java, here's one for Bedrock edition too! This island is medium-sized and surrounded entirely with icebergs. You'll find plenty of trees and space on this island, as well as many underwater shipwrecks nearby. Once you've conquered that, there are some dark forests to be found on other shores. You're rather far from civilization though, so don't expect to find a village unless you take a very, very long boat ride.
