Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates recordbreaking tourism entry Numbers from the United States
NEW YORK - Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ - Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism has announced record-breaking figures of visitors from the United States who visited Israel during the months of July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 travelers from the United States in July 2022 which is an increase of 4% from 2019 and 71,000 travelers from the United States in August 2022 which is an increase of 13% from the year before.
"It is so thrilling to see yet another increase in tourism to Israel from the United States, already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking numbers in 2019." said Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. "The United States is our number one market for travel to Israel and prior to the COVID-19 pandemic that was sweeping the world, we were celebrating record-breaking tourism entry numbers each month. We're so happy to see an improvement in the trend and expect a continued increase in the coming years and months to be."
