Minecraft Launcher Wont Set Up From Microsoft Retailer

From Security Holes
Jump to: navigation, search

I've tried installing Minecraft Launcher for days now, with no success. I've tried all of the sometimes advised methods (e.g. home windows updates, wsreset, reregistering the shop, etc.). WIKIMEDIA

I am right down to the point where I found out the place to search out the logs to attempt to get some more *technical* assist.....

Signs:

* Downloading labored positive

* When on the Minecraft Launcher page and clicking the "Install" button, nothing (!) happens

* When in the library list, and clicking the "cloud" icon in the Minecraft Launcher row, it starts spinning for some time, then stops and reverts to the "cloud" icon

Wanting on the logs, here is my general impression:

* There's an terrible lot of "Error: The operation completed successfully.", which sounds a bit bizarre (although is probably okay)

* There is a bunch of "Error: Unknown HResult Error code: 0xefffffff"

* A single "Error: A specified logon session does not exist. It may have already got been terminated."

* A bunch of "Error: Unknown HResult Error code: 0x89245104"

* A bunch of "Error: The parameter is wrong."

Notes:

* I'm a software engineer myself (which is why after following multiple 20-steps-to-fix-microsoft-store or whatevers, I began to search for logs as an alternative), so some insights into how to repair these specific, apparent mentions of errors in the logs would be very much appretiated.

* I've included the full logs from one try down beneath, and replaced some stuff that sounded like account IDs and many others. by REDACTED_FOR_Privateness

* Logs are retrieved from the Event Viewer

* If there's community help Based mostly ON THE ERRORS FROM THE LOGS, that may in fact be greatly appreciated, however I'm pretty sure that at this level, the help must be from actual Microsoft workers, as a result of solely they can have access to the code (or a minimum of know who to contact, realizing software engineers, they're not exposing themselves in any ways to finish customers ;) )

* Exact windows model is Microsoft Windows 10 Professional, construct Model 10.0.19044 Construct 19044

* Hardware is a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Excessive
