1. Open the Minecraft launcher.

2 Click the "Edit profile" button.

3. Change your version to the Forge one. For example, if you have Forge 1.7.10 installed, you will need to select "1.7.10 Forge" in the edit profile tab.

4 Exit Minecraft.

1. Open your Home Windows from your task bar and type "%appdata%"

2 Choose ".minecraft" folder It should be near the top of the window.

3 Search for the "mods" folder. If you don't have it, create one and call it "mods".

4. If your mod file is zip file when you download it from the web, don't extract it, move the zip file to the "mods" folder. If the zip folder contains jar file, you'll need to drop the jar file in instead of the zip file.

5 Open your minecraft launcher again (Make sure you've set up your Forge profile If not, read Part 3 again). Click "Play" to begin the download of additional libraries. Once it is done you can play your mod game. Everything is updated and I tried everything I could to get it to load. All I see is the launch screen. What can I do to make it better?

Some mods require core mods (e.g. CodeChickenCore requires core mods ), so make sure you've go through the mod's webpage prior to downloading. It will not work if it doesn't include the core mods required.
